The Transcendent Shore

Recorded on

"The Transcendent Shore" creates an atmosphere and a musical suggestion.

A repeated motif and layered sounds evoke the experience of being on the beach, standing at the point where water meets sand, listening with eyes closed to the sights that sound on the shoreline.

And then it happens. Synesthesia. Before your very ears.

Close your eyes during the final section, and you can actually hear the sight of the ocean as it swells and subsides.

Inspired by the compositions of Michael Hedges and Phillip Glass, Thatcher takes guitar-playing right to the edge of the transcendent shore.
