From the Top: 18 year-old guitarist Thatcher Harrison

Thatcher performed his own composition, Iris at Sunrise, on NPR's "From the Top," Show 376, in Boston on October 6, 2019.
Thatcher Harrison (guitar), 18, hails from Dartmouth, Massachusetts and is a freshman at New England Conservatory, studying with Eliot Fisk and Jérôme Mouffe. Thatcher’s proudest musical accomplishments include: winning First Prize at the 2019 Domaine Forget Guitar Competition (17-and-under division) in Saint-Irénée, Quebec, Canada; winning an Honorable Mention award as a classical guitarist in the Classical Music category of the 2019 National YoungArts Foundation Competition; and completing his first commission as a composer for the DNT Guitar Trio. In his spare time, Thatcher loves playing and watching baseball, taking long walks, watching cooking shows, reading Calvin and Hobbes, and spending time with family
